SAEDNEWS: Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon: Israel Seeks ‘All-or-Nothing Fronts’ to Serve as a Warning, Just as It Tried to Crush Anti-Zionism by Toppling Iran
According to the Politics Desk of SaedNews, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Lebanon, commenting on the latest regional developments, noted the similarity between Israel’s behavior in Gaza and its approach in Lebanon. He emphasized that the Zionist regime is pursuing a “controlled conflict within a defined ceiling” strategy to prevent the crisis from escalating into a full-scale war. He added that the cessation of attacks in Yemen can also be understood within this framework, but warned that if Israeli aggression expands, other countries might intervene.
The ambassador described Benjamin Netanyahu’s situation as tense and critical, stating that the Israeli Prime Minister faces intense domestic and international pressure, including U.S. dissatisfaction over the widening conflict, and is incapable of initiating a new confrontation.
Amany stressed that the claim of disarming Hamas is a “highly unattainable hypothesis,” noting that Hamas will never surrender its weapons, even though it had previously stepped back from participating in government.
The Iranian ambassador highlighted that Israel seeks to create “all-or-nothing fronts” as a warning to others, similar to its past attempts to eliminate anti-Zionist sentiment through the collapse and fragmentation of Iran. He described recent movements south of the Litani River as a continuation of the 2006 agreement rather than a new development, and reaffirmed that Hezbollah remains active and resilient both politically and militarily.
Amany added that U.S. and Israeli pressure on the Lebanese government to disarm Hezbollah continues, but domestic decisions face opposition and resistance, while the resistance front pursues alternative solutions.
The ambassador clarified: “There was no agreement between us and Israel. The only understanding was: if you don’t strike, I won’t strike either—this was the ceasefire.” He noted that the current situation, with the active presence of Hezbollah and Hamas, is stabilized, and that the recent prisoner exchanges demonstrate organization, armament, and determination within the resistance front.
Amany emphasized Hamas’ ability to maintain and manage a large number of prisoners under recent difficult conditions as a major strength, indicating that the resistance’s organizational structure remains intact. He noted that the mobilization of approximately 7,000 to 8,000 Hamas forces in Gaza surprised the Israelis.
He added that even if a single Hamas commander or fighter appears with a weapon during the prisoner exchange process, it would constitute a complete failure of claims that Hamas has been destroyed.
Amany concluded that Israeli protesters are now using this reality against Netanyahu, reminding him: “You said Hamas must be eliminated, yet you have neither destroyed Hamas nor prevented Israel from facing heavy casualties and losses.”
