Iraq Reacts to Netanyahu’s Threats Against Its Citizens

Speaking on Friday, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hussein declared:
“We condemn Netanyahu’s statements and affirm that any attack on an Iraqi citizen is an attack on Iraq itself.”

He emphasized that targeting even a single Iraqi individual would be regarded as an act of aggression against the entire nation.

Meanwhile, Hebrew media sources allege that Netanyahu is preparing plans to assassinate leaders of Iraqi resistance groups and to destroy their bases in the near future.

Earlier in the day, during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, Netanyahu openly threatened Iraqi resistance groups with military action—an escalation that drew sharp condemnation from Baghdad.

This exchange underscores the tense atmosphere in the Middle East, where Iraq’s firm stance reflects both its national sovereignty and its role in defending regional stability.
