Experts Say Iran Reveals Sensitive Data on Israeli Nuclear Sites, Raising Security Concerns

The national Iranian TV aired a program Wednesday night showcasing sensitive data and documents that the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence had acquired regarding strategic nuclear sites and projects. According to the report, the data was obtained several months ago, in June, through a covert operation by Iranian intelligence forces.

Earlier this year, in a June broadcast, Iranian TV explained that although the operation occurred some time prior, the sheer volume of documents and the need for secure transport prevented the news from being made public until all materials were safely delivered to protected locations within Iran.

The June report stated that “the data haul was extracted during a covert operation” and included “a vast volume of materials — including documents, images, and videos.” After the secure transfer, Iranian authorities thoroughly reviewed the information.

Speaking to national TV on Wednesday, Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib described the operation as “only a portion of a powerful combination of intelligence and operational measures.” He emphasized that the transferred “treasure trove” contains millions of pages of diverse and highly valuable information concerning the Israeli regime.

Khatib elaborated: “These documents include past and ongoing weapons projects of the regime, efforts to upgrade and reprocess old nuclear weapons, joint projects with the United States and some European countries, as well as complete information on the administrative structure and individuals involved in nuclear weapons development.”

He added that the documents also identify researchers, scientists, and senior managers involved in weapons programs, including American and European scientists, alongside addresses of their facilities, companies, and collaborators. “As many as 189 Israeli nuclear and military experts have been identified,” Khatib said, noting that during the June 12-day war against Israel, “sensitive military sites were targeted by Iranian missile units.”

The intelligence ministry also aired videos showing Israeli nuclear sites, military personnel, and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, whom Iran holds responsible for recent tensions over its nuclear program.

Khatib explained that Iranian intelligence obtained the documents with the cooperation of individuals within the Israeli regime. “There were two main motivations for this cooperation: first, material incentives, and second, intense resentment toward the regime’s corrupt leadership, prompting acts of revenge,” he said. He added that these collaborators continue to work against Israel due to financial incentives.

The minister further highlighted what he described as the “secret of the Zionist regime’s infiltration efforts among people and officials,” claiming these were consequences of the regime’s defeat during the 12-day war and the infiltration of the so-called “Anonymous Soldiers of Imam Mahdi” into Israel’s protective layers.
