According to the political service of Saed News, on the morning of Thursday, August 28, 2025, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, at the conference of “World Mosque Day” held on the occasion of the fifty-sixth anniversary of the burning of Al-Aqsa Mosque under the slogan “Mosque: Axis of Unity, Stronghold of Resistance,” with the presence of imams of mosques from all over the country at the Adineh Complex in Tehran, said: Whether another war may happen again or not may be a question for many of you; a revolutionary believer must always be ready for defense; for several years the Supreme Leader has been speaking of a Strong Iran, therefore we must always be prepared.
Qalibaf, on this basis, emphasized: Yes, a war may occur, and we must become strong for it. Part of this strengthening is in the hands of us officials, including the heads of the branches of power, the armed forces, the government, the parliament, and the judiciary, especially in the areas of livelihood and housing, in which we have not had an acceptable record so far. These issues are completely solvable, but our problem lies in the managerial paths we have taken. We need transformations in all dimensions.
The head of our country’s legislative body further emphasized: As the head of one branch, I say that today compared to all the periods I have been in, we have the most coordinated period among the heads of the branches, but some individuals pursue topics that only pour water into the enemy’s mill, while the foundation of our work must be the cohesion that is the word of our Supreme Leader.
If the Zionist enemy becomes assured of the disruption of cohesion in the country, it will attack again
Qalibaf further, while pointing out that the Supreme Leader said that the information of some individuals who have a tribune may not be accurate, stated: When we hear the words of the Leader directly, we should not interpret them differently.
The head of the legislature, in another part of his remarks, said: Of course, the Zionist enemy and the rabid dog of the region is the same enemy that if it fixes its defensive weaknesses and becomes assured that it can stop our fire, and America fully supports it, and it knows that it has been able to destroy our cohesion in society, it will attack again.
He added: During the recent war, the criminal Netanyahu released a video and declared to Iranians: We have done our job, and now it is your turn, the people of Iran, to take to the field. But the dear people of Iran struck him in the mouth."
