SAEDNEWS: Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei dismissed European claims that Tehran has weakened, stressing that Western pressure will not force Iran to abandon its legitimate demands.
Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, in an interview responding to a question about the alleged notion that Europe believes Iran has now become weaker, said:
“During the Biden administration, we had practically finalized everything. I was personally a member of the negotiating team, and I can say that 99 percent of the text had been prepared. But then domestic unrest occurred in Iran, and some European countries thought: now that Iran has internal problems, we can apply more pressure. But it turned out that they were mistaken. Once again, their perception of Iran is wrong. If they think they can force Iran to surrender through pressure, they are wrong. This is a miscalculation. Iran, under no circumstances, will abandon its legitimate and legal demands.”
