SAEDNEWS: On the eve of the emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, our Foreign Minister published a note in Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper entitled: ‘The Delusion of a “Greater Israel” Is an Existential Danger and a Threat to International Peace and Security.’
According to Saed News, quoting IRNA; Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, our Foreign Minister, on the eve of the emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, wrote in a note in Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper entitled: ‘The Delusion of a “Greater Israel” Is an Existential Danger and a Threat to International Peace and Security’:
‘The upcoming meeting of the Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation must become a turning point that consolidates the collective determination of Islamic countries to curb the insatiable ambitions of Netanyahu and his gang and prevent the continuation of the massacre of innocents, the destruction of Islamic countries, and the annexation of their lands. This meeting should not be limited to expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people or merely showing regret and concern about the current situation. Rather, it is a historic test for the Islamic Ummah and perhaps one of the few opportunities to create a regional and global coalition to stop Israel’s aggressions.’
The full text of the Foreign Minister’s note is as follows:
On the eve of the extraordinary meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Islamic countries in Jeddah, once again the conscience of the world, this time with greater urgency, has been drawn to the greatest existential and identity threat that the region and the Islamic world are facing, namely the Zionist regime. This regime has spared no effort in the complete destruction of Gaza and has turned it into scorched earth. The Zionist regime has unleashed the most horrific massacres against women and children, has repeatedly displaced residents through forced displacement, has used hunger and famine as a new tool for genocide, and has turned food distribution centers into death traps for hungry and innocent women and children. In this way, it has created one of the most horrific human tragedies of the modern era. What is happening in the Gaza Strip is not merely a temporary military confrontation nor an ordinary humanitarian crisis, but a fully organized genocide and clear ethnic cleansing carried out under the complete silence of the United States and the West.
The crimes of the Zionist regime are not limited to Gaza. The rapid expansion of settlements in the West Bank, together with the terrorist actions of armed settlers against Palestinians in order to force displacement and annex the West Bank to this regime, the intensification of Judaization of al-Quds al-Sharif, repeated violations of ceasefires, continued attacks on Lebanon, assaults on Yemen’s infrastructure, attempts to weaken the foundations of the state in Syria and fueling sedition to divide it, as well as the recent military aggression against Iran which resulted in the martyrdom of more than one thousand of my compatriots, and finally the public statements and the publication of fake maps by the leaders of this regime about what they call the “Greater Middle East” and their expansionist intentions toward neighbors—all these demonstrate the spread of this cancerous tumor and its penetration into the entire body of the region.
