Mohammad Javad Zarif, former Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, commented on social media platform X:
"I thought the ‘G’ in MAGA stood for ‘Great’ and not ‘Grotesque’—the shameless lack of basic courtesy toward guests. I hope the Europeans managed to get something in return for this flattery of Trump’s ego; just as Netanyahu’s pursuit of a Nobel nomination revealed his preference for personal whims over America’s national interests."
