SAEDNEWS: The Governor of Karbala announced the discovery and foiling of a Daesh terrorist plot targeting Arbaeen pilgrims.
According to Saed News’ accident service quoting Rokna, the Governor of Karbala said: 22 Daesh-linked terrorists intending to carry out operations against Arbaeen pilgrims were arrested in central Iraq.
They planned to target pilgrim routes with homemade bombs, attack security forces and Hussaini service stations, and even poison pilgrims at their gathering places—especially in the southern part of Karbala province.
Confessions from the suspects revealed that these individuals were affiliated with Daesh, and some had contact with foreign parties, including a person directly connected to the Zionist regime.
