SAEDNEWS: Akhtari warns of an unpredictable regional landscape, emphasizing the strength of resistance movements like Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, while criticizing Western complicity and highlighting ongoing threats of regional fragmentation.
According to Saed News citing ILNA, Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, head of the Ahlul Bayt Global Assembly and former Iranian ambassador to Syria, provided his assessment of the current regional conditions and the axis of resistance, stating: "The situation in the region is currently unpredictable. People like myself do not have precise information about the field and the parties involved. However, the state of resistance is very strong."
He noted that Lebanon’s government situation is unique and special.
The deputy for international affairs at the Leader’s office continued: "Hezbollah is currently in a good position with high capabilities. The resistance of Hezbollah is in a very suitable state, but the government situation in Lebanon is special and unique. How to deal with this in the future and how they will respond remains to be seen."
Regarding the enemy's ambitions, Hojjatoleslam Akhtari said: "The path of the enemy is to continuously commit crimes. We must not think that the enemies will change. They will not change; they covet the entire region and seek to expand their dominance. The U.S. and European countries support them."
He added: "All invading forces are controlled by the criminal America."
The chairman of the Committee to Support the Islamic Revolution of the Palestinian People stated: "None of the major European countries have condemned Israeli crimes so far nor taken serious action against them. The UN, Security Council, and Human Rights organizations occasionally voice concerns but have taken no serious measures because they are not allowed to; all these bodies are under the control of criminal America and its supporting countries such as Germany, the UK, and France."
He continued: "European countries are partners in war and crimes. Not only America but France, Germany, and the UK also play roles in these crimes. England, in particular, is the foundation of all these crimes and has created this situation. Thus, they are scheming and planning based on their own agendas. One of these agendas is to fragment the region and create small countries so that these countries never reach agreement."
Emphasizing the strength of the resistance line, Akhtari said: "Iraq and the Iraqis are determined in the resistance issue. Yemen is similarly continuing its resistance effectively. Yemen is fully resisting and very influential. Certainly, stronger and tougher methods will be pursued in the future."
He added: "The Islamic Republic has shown determination in this path. As it stood and confronted, if Israel errs again, the blows from the Islamic Republic will be stronger and tougher, and Haifa and all the occupied lands will become like Gaza."
On the Iranian nation’s vigilance, the chairman of the Supreme Council of the Ahlul Bayt Global Assembly remarked: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has even shown a dismissive hand to America, and with the blow it has struck, the enemies have realized that they will not dare so easily to stand against the Islamic Republic."
He stressed: "They have started a new movement aiming to harm the Islamic Republic culturally, socially, and through political pressure from neighboring countries. The Iranian people must be vigilant, follow up on issues to avoid surprises, and thwart enemy plans. We must strive to neutralize these plots."
Regarding U.S. and Israeli plans to destroy Hamas and integrate the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) into the Iraqi army, the former Iranian ambassador to Syria stated: "These are claims and illusions spread by themselves to circulate such talk. Those responsible in Iraq have officially declared that the PMF is not dissolvable. On the other hand, I do not find it necessary to elaborate, but the PMF cannot be removed from Iraq."
He added: "Hamas is similarly strong. Hamas has found its way and its survival continues in this manner. Their forces are now larger, stronger, and more widespread than at the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm. Their organization remains intact and they have access to resources."
Concerning aid to the people of Gaza, Akhtari noted: "Currently, the pressure on the people of Gaza is severe and difficult for Hamas. If Muslims act together and find ways to deliver aid to Gaza, they can be effective. Pressuring Egypt and other countries can also be helpful. If many ships head toward Gaza, God willing, this issue will be compensated."
