SAEDNEWS: Recently leaked images on Chinese social media have reignited speculation about a possible sixth-generation stealth aircraft under development in China — possibly a drone or a new manned fighter jet.
According to Saed News, recent images circulating on Chinese social media have fueled speculation that China may be developing a new sixth-generation aircraft.
Since Monday, images of a previously unknown stealth aircraft have begun circulating on Chinese social media, sparking debate over whether the object is a new manned warplane or an unmanned drone.
At least two photos of the aircraft, taken from different angles while it was on the ground, are currently being shared. Based on these images, it remains unclear whether — assuming it is indeed an aircraft — it features a cockpit or an internal weapons bay.
The images show a sleeker and smaller fuselage compared to other photos believed to be of China's J-36 stealth fighter jet, suggesting that this new aircraft may have a higher speed capability.
Some analysts have speculated that this may be China's third sixth-generation tailless aircraft, while others consider it to be a drone.
Among those commenting is aviation analyst Andreas Rupprecht, who noted that these new photos mark the third known sighting of this aircraft body since the beginning of 2025. Sharing a screenshot of its latest appearance on social platform X, he wrote:
"A third image of that mysterious CCA (?) drone just dropped."
