SAEDNEWS: President Pezeshkian called for global Muslim unity and self-reliance during his visit to Pakistan, emphasizing that Iran and Pakistan should utilize their commonalities and cooperate in economic, cultural, and security sectors to address challenges and shape their future.
President Masoud Pezeshkian has emphasized the necessity of unity and solidarity among Muslims worldwide, noting, “We must rely on our own capabilities and resources to overcome challenges and achieve development and progress.”
Pezeshkian made these remarks on Sunday during the second day of his visit to Pakistan, while speaking at the Iran-Pakistan Trade Conference, which brought together business leaders, merchants, and economic activists from both countries.
Highlighting the commonalities between the neighboring countries of Iran and Pakistan, including shared culture, language, and religion, he said, "We can reach a higher and better position; we just need to believe in ourselves and our potential. We must understand that depending on others and seeking their approval will not bring us dignity, strength, or honor.”
The president emphasized, “If we do not diminish ourselves in the face of the West and Western powers, we can emerge from the current situation with strength and overcome our challenges. The two countries have significant opportunities for cooperation and are committed to progressing toward success.”
Referring to the abundant opportunities for cooperation between Iran and Pakistan, Pezeshkian said, “We must shape our future not according to the designs of others, but as we envision it ourselves. In Iran, we are determined to establish strong bonds and cooperation with our Pakistani brothers and sisters across all fields, including economic, cultural, scientific, and security sectors.”
The event, hosted by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, brought together a large number of business leaders, chamber of commerce officials, and top investors from Pakistan.
