SAEDNEWS: The Iranian and Pakistani foreign ministers explored avenues for deepening bilateral engagement in key areas of mutual interest.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, in Islamabad on Saturday night to discuss ways to bolster bilateral relations and enhance regional cooperation.
According to a statement from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties between Tehran and Islamabad, with a focus on promoting collaboration for regional stability, trade expansion, and economic cooperation.
Araqchi and Ishaq Dar also explored avenues for deepening bilateral engagement in key areas of mutual interest, the statement added.
The meeting was part of the official two-day visit of President Masoud Pezeshkian to Pakistan. He is accompanied by high-ranking officials, including ministers of Foreign Affairs, Industry and Mining and Trade, Roads and Urban Development, and Defense and Armed Forces Logistics.
