SAEDNEWS: Iran’s envoys to Islamabad said President Pezeshkian’s visit to Pakistan indicates the country’s determination to strengthen ties with Pakistan.
Iran’s Ambassador to Islamabad Reza Amiri-Moghaddam has said that President Masoud Pezeshkian’s upcoming visit to Pakistan symbolizes deep cultural ties between Iran and Pakistan, reinforcing commonalities in the Muslim world, and expanding bilateral cooperation through signing of several key agreements in various fields.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with IRNA, Amiri-Moghaddam elaborated on the agenda of Pezeshkian’s official visit to Pakistan.
The Iranian president’s trip to Pakistan is aimed at consolidating the friendly relations between the two neighboring countries, he added.
Referring to the historic victory of the great Iranian nation in the 12-day imposed war by the Israeli regime, he said Iranians courageously defended the country alongside the armed forces under the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
President Pezeshkian is to appreciate the government and people of Pakistan for their stance regarding the Muslim world and its support for Iran in international bodies.
He noted that Pezeshkian’s is scheduled to visit the tomb of Muhammad Iqbal, a great poet.
He is also to meet senior Pakistani officials to strengthen relations and facilitate cooperation in various fields.
The two sides are to sign several key agreements in economic, trade, transportation, cultural exchanges, customs, standards, border cooperation, and tourism.
A meeting with Pakistani elites and businessmen will be on the agenda of Iranian president’s agenda during his visit to Islamabad.
Iran and Pakistan are at the forefront of defending Islamic values and supporting the oppressed, particularly the suffering Palestinian people, Amiri-Moghaddam said referring to regional developments.
