Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and his Turkish counterpart Numan Kurtulmus have discussed issues of mutual interest, stressing the importance of strengthening bilateral relations.

The two top parliamentarians held talks on Tuesday in Geneva, Switzerland, on the sidelines of the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament.

Qalibaf and Kurtulmus emphasized the importance of developing relations between Iran and Turkey in various fields.

The Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament is organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in close collaboration with the United Nations. The event takes place from July 29 to 31 at the Palais des Nations.

The Iranian speaker made a speech at the conference on Tuesday, during which he condemned the Israel regime’s “systematic massacre” of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
