SAEDNEWS: Syrian sources reported the landing of a U.S. military cargo plane in the northern part of Syria’s Hasakah Province.
According to Saednews, quoting the Syrian Observatory, Syrian sources have reported new U.S. movements in Syria, stating that a U.S. military cargo plane landed at the "Kharab al-Jir" base located in the outskirts of the city of Rmelan in the northern part of Syria’s Hasakah Province.
The sources also pointed to the widespread flight activity of American coalition helicopters over the region.
They added that the plane was carrying advanced military equipment as well as American troops, indicating increased U.S. efforts to reinforce its military presence in northeastern Syria.
This comes as, on the 24th of this month, Syrian sources had also reported the entry of an international coalition convoy led by the U.S. consisting of 37 trucks into Syrian territory via the “Al-Waleed” border crossing from northern Iraq. The convoy headed to the “Qasrak” base located between the cities of Tal Tamr and Qamishli in northern Hasakah countryside.
The U.S. maintains several military bases on Syrian soil, most of which are located in the Hasakah and Deir ez-Zor provinces—strategic regions rich in resources and subject to complex international and regional tensions.
