SAEDNEWS: Protesters decried the negative response, inaction, negligence, and complicity of some Arab regimes towards the hunger and genocide in Gaza.
Tens of thousands have joined rallies and demonstrations in several West Asian and African nations, including Turkey, Jordan, Iraq, and Libya, to express their solidarity with the Palestinians and denounce the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip.
News sources reported that these marches were held on Sunday amid widespread public anger over “the negative response, inaction, negligence, and complicity of some Arab regimes towards the hunger and genocide in Gaza.”
The Turkish capital, Ankara, saw a large rally that ended near the U.S. embassy, with demonstrators chanting slogan such as “Israel is terrorizing and the world is watching.”
A demonstration was also held in front of the Israeli consulate in the city of Istanbul where the people condemned the Israeli regime’s genocidal war on the people of Gaza.
In Jordan, a key ally of the Israeli regime, people once again hit the streets of Amman and other cities in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians, and in condemnation of the Israeli blockade and aggression.
According to the Arab Journal news site, Jordanian security forces cracked down on a demonstration held in the Palestinian refugee camp of Madaba.
In Iraq and Libya, thousands of people thronged the streets in support of Gaza and to demand an end to “the Zionist regime’s aggression and the blockade of the Palestinian territory.”
There are growing warnings from international organizations about an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, where, hunger has reached its peak.
