SAEDNEWS: Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi declared that Iran’s armed forces remain poised to unleash “more decisive and regret‑inducing” retaliation following last month’s 12‑day conflict.
According to Saed News, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, affirmed on July 20 that Iranian combat units are operating at “peak operational readiness” to repel any future aggression. Speaking at a high‑level briefing with Hojjatoleslam Ahmadreza Pourkhaqan, Head of the Armed Forces Judicial Organization, Mousavi emphasised that the army stands ready to “deliver a response more decisive and regret‑inducing than before,” underpinning his remarks with references to divine support, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s leadership, and nationwide solidarity.
The gathering paid homage to the martyrs of the recent hostilities, notably former Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri, who was killed on June 13 during the Israeli regime’s opening salvo. Pourkhaqan lauded their sacrifices as “a priceless, enduring capital for the Iranian nation and a golden chapter in our glorious history.”
Mousavi’s stern warning follows Operation True Promise III—a 22‑wave missile barrage aimed at strategic Israeli military, intelligence, and industrial targets. Despite Israel’s stringent media blackout, multiple defence analysts judged the strikes to have inflicted crippling and irreversible damage on the regime’s war infrastructure, severely degrading its offensive posture. U.S. President Donald Trump conceded, “Israel got hit really hard.”
In a parallel development, Rear Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi, Deputy Operations Chief of the Iranian Army (Artesh), announced the full restoration of Iran’s air defence network. He explained that systems damaged during the initial Israeli blitz were swiftly replaced with domestically produced units and strategic reserves, ensuring uninterrupted coverage and a restructured deployment designed to bolster resilience against future threats. Admiral Mousavi dismissed foreign claims of irreparable losses, insisting that Iran now maintains “full airspace security” through proactive tactics and expedited repairs.
