Gaza’s Palestinian Health Ministry has reported that Israeli forces killed at least 67 people waiting for United Nations aid trucks in northern Gaza.

In a Sunday statement, the ministry said dozens more were injured in the incident, marking one of the deadliest recent attacks on civilians seeking aid, following another similar tragedy on Saturday that left 36 dead.

Additionally, six people were killed near a separate aid distribution point in southern Gaza.

According to health officials, a total of 88 Palestinians were killed by Israeli gunfire and airstrikes across Gaza on Sunday.

After over 21 months of war, much of Gaza lies in ruins, with famine risks worsening.

Palestinian medical authorities warned that hospitals, overwhelmed by patients suffering from severe hunger and exhaustion due to dwindling food supplies and aid disruptions, could soon see hundreds more deaths.

The Israeli military aggression against Gaza has killed more than 58,000 Palestinians, displaced almost the entire population, and plunged the enclave into a humanitarian crisis.

Israel waged a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, after the Palestinian Hamas Resistance group carried out a historic operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

Israel has imposed a complete siege on the densely populated territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
