President Masoud Pezeshkian sent a clear message to the world in his latest interview by saying that Iran is ready to negotiate and establish peace in the region from a position of strength, according to a presidential aide.

Mohammad-Jafar Qaempanah, the acting head of the presidential office and the president’s executive deputy, made the comment in an article published by Iran newspaper on Sunday, referring to Pezeshkian’s recent interview with U.S. conservative talk show host Tucker Carlson. That interview was published on July 7 by the Iranian presidential office.

“The president sent a clear message to the world in his latest interview: Iran is ready to engage in dialogue and promote peace and stability in the region, not out of weakness, but from a position of strength,” he said.

According to Qaempanah, the president emphasized Iran’s full preparedness to defend itself decisively, while also expressing its openness to diplomacy. “This approach underscores both Iran’s deterrent power and its willingness to resolve issues through dialogue,” he said.

He described the president’s remarks as a reflection of strategic realism, recognizing that in the 21st century, lasting victory cannot be achieved through military dominance alone, but rather, it requires the ability to translate battlefield achievements into political agreements.

He added that Iran’s dual emphasis on strength and rationality demonstrates that it can simultaneously defend its rightful interests and keep diplomatic avenues open to secure national gains.

“The real legacy of this period,” Qaempanah noted, “lies in the ability to balance tools of power and use them wisely to ensure lasting security and progress.”
