SAEDNEWS: Israel’s occupation military unleashed another wave of savage attacks across Gaza on Saturday, killing scores of Palestinians and driving hundreds of thousands further toward starvation, in what rights groups denounce as deliberate collective punishment.
Israeli warplanes struck Gaza City, murdering 14 civilians, including four inside a home on Jaffa Street in the Tuffah district.
Ten others were injured in that assault.
In northern Gaza, occupation forces bombed two residential buildings in Jabalia, slaughtering 15 people, according to medical staff.
Airstrikes also hit the Shati refugee camp, killing seven more.
Beit Hanoon was bombarded with nearly 50 bombs, devastating the northeastern neighborhoods.
The Israeli military boasted it had launched 250 attacks in 48 hours while continuing to blockade food and aid, ignoring repeated warnings of imminent famine.
Gaza’s Government Media Office reported 67 children have now died of malnutrition, with 650,000 more facing acute starvation in the coming weeks.
“Over the past three days, we have recorded dozens of deaths due to shortages of food and essential medical supplies, in an extremely cruel humanitarian situation,” the office said.
“This shocking reality reflects the scale of the unprecedented humanitarian tragedy in Gaza.”
Doctors stated more than 800 Palestinians have been killed and 5,000 wounded at the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation sites since late May.
“The vast majority were shot in the head and legs,” said Khalil al-Degran, spokesperson for Al-Aqsa Hospital.
“We are struggling to cope with the overwhelming number of casualties amid a devastating shortage of medical supplies.”
Israeli analyst Akiva Eldar told Al Jazeera most Israelis are “really appalled” by war minister Israel Katz’s plan to uproot Palestinians, calling it “illegal and immoral.”
“Anybody who will participate in this disgusting project will be involved in war crimes,” Eldar said.
He added that the message is clear: “There can’t be two people between the river and the sea, and those who deserve to have a state are only the Jewish people.”
Other analysts observed this systematic ethnic cleansing has a long history.
Lorenzo Kamel, Middle East professor at the University of Turin, recalled the 1948 expulsion of 70,000 Palestinians from Lydda during the “march of death,” many of whom were driven into Gaza.
He said the new plan to corral civilians onto the rubble of Rafah is “nothing but another camp in preparation for the deportation from the Gaza Strip.”
