SAEDNEWS: The government spokesperson arrived in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to participate in the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide.
According to Saednews, Fatemeh Mohajerani, as the special representative of the President, accompanied by Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian, advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the first ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bosnia and Herzegovina, arrived in Sarajevo to attend the Srebrenica genocide anniversary.
The government spokesperson, carrying the President’s message regarding the Srebrenica genocide, will participate in the official ceremony and meet with the head of the Islamic community of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other Bosnian officials.
Upon arrival, Mohajerani and her delegation paid respects by laying flowers at the memorial for Iranian martyrs in the Bosnia and Herzegovina war.
Every year on July 11, a memorial ceremony for the victims of the genocide is held at the Srebrenica memorial center, attended by senior officials from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries.
On July 11, 1995, more than 8,000 Bosnian Muslims were massacred by the Bosnian Serb army in a UN-designated safe area, and many were displaced.
