Tajikistan Condemns Israeli, US Attacks on Iran

According to Saednews, In a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart on Tuesday, Sirojiddin Muhriddin condemned the Israeli and US military aggression against Iran as a violation of the UN Charter and the fundamental principles of the international law.

He also expressed Tajikistan’s sympathy with the Iranian people and government over the losses of lives.

Tajikistan has condemned the Israeli war on Iran at the international organizations and in its interactions with the other countries, Muhriddin said, expressing confidence that the great and wise Iranian nation will rise to challenges.

For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi expressed gratitude to Tajikistan for condemning the Israeli and American strikes.

He hailed the unified stance adopted by the regional and Muslim countries in condemnation of the war on Iran as a sign of the mutual understanding, among the majority of the international community, of the threats posed by the Israeli regime’s law-breaking.

Araqchi also reminded the UN Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency of their responsibility to hold the Zionist regime accountable for the flagrant violations of the international law.

The Zionist regime waged an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran on June 13. It carried out airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear, military and residential sites that resulted in the martyrdom of over 930 people, including top military commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians.

The Iranian military forces started counterattacks immediately afterwards. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force carried out 22 waves of retaliatory missile strikes against the Zionist regime as part of Operation True Promise III that inflicted heavy losses on cities across the occupied territories.

A ceasefire that came into force on June 24 brought the fighting to a halt.
