According to Saednews, Masoud Pezeshkian, the President, attended the funeral ceremony of the Martyrs of Power today, Saturday.

The funeral ceremony for the purified bodies of a number of commanders, leaders, nuclear scientists, and civilians who were martyred in the terrorist attack by the Zionist regime began this morning, Saturday, July 27, 2025 (7 Tir 1404 in the Iranian calendar), coinciding with the 2nd of Muharram, with the presence of military and civil officials as well as various segments of the people. The grateful and heroic nation of Islamic Iran accompanied the pure bodies of 60 national power martyrs and homeland heroes.

From the earliest hours of this morning, Saturday, the Islamic Revolution Square has witnessed a flood of people who, with Hosseini enthusiasm, holding red flags inscribed "Ya Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS)" and handwritten banners bearing anti-Zionist and anti-American slogans, have gathered to accompany and bid farewell to the national heroes and defenders of the homeland.

The bodies of the martyred women and children, amid the tears of the people, send a clear message to the world: The Zionist regime has been defeated not on the battlefield, but in the field of humanity.

According to official sources, the burial locations of the martyrs who are being carried by the people today have also been determined. The bodies of the senior commanders, respecting their wills and in a symbolic manner, will be buried in places that each hold a part of the identity of the resistance:

  • Martyrs Hossein Salami and Rabani in the shrine of Hazrat Abdul Azim Hassani (AS)

  • Martyrs Hajizadeh and Mohammad Bagheri (Aerospace) in the defenders of the shrine section at Behesht Zahra Cemetery (S)

  • Martyr Shadmani in Hamedan, next to Martyr Hamadani

  • Martyr Kazemi in the holy city of Mashhad, next to the shrine of Imam Reza (AS)

  • Martyr Ramazan Izadi in Qom, next to Hazrat Masoumeh (S)

  • Martyrs Mohammad Bagheri and Mehrabi in section 24 of Behesht Zahra (S), the same place where Martyr Hassan Bagheri rests; a section rightly called the heart of the Sacred Defense command.

In the early hours of Friday, June 13, 2025 (23 Khordad 1404), following a terrorist attack by the Zionist regime on Iran, a group of senior military commanders, scientists, and civilians were martyred, marking the start of the imposed war.

According to official announcements, the following notable figures were among those martyred in the Zionist regime’s crime against our country: Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces; Major General Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps; Major General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, Commander of the Aerospace Force of the IRGC; Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, Commander of the Central Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbia; General Kazemi, Head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization; General Ali Shadmani; General Mohammad Saeed Izadi; General Davood Sheikhi, Commander of the Air Defense of the IRGC Aerospace Force; Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi; Fereydoun Abbasi; Seyed Amir Hossein Faghahi; Abdolhamid Minouchehr; Mohammad Reza Zalfaghari; and Matlabi Zadeh — all well-known figures martyred in the Zionist regime’s crime.

The United States of America also attacked three nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan early Sunday morning (July 21, 2025).

After 12 days of the enemy’s aggression against our country and the crushing responses of the Iranian Armed Forces to its provocations, the Zionist regime was forced to accept a ceasefire from the morning of Tuesday, July 23, 2025.

The Zionist regime’s aggression on the soil of Islamic Iran and the 12-day war ended with the pride of our people and armed forces. This war, imposed on us by the Zionist enemy, once again displayed the unity and solidarity of the Iranian people — and this very unity and cohesion brought victory to Iran.

After the end of the imposed war, Amir Major General Hatami, Commander-in-Chief of the Army, emphasized in a message: In this unequal confrontation of truth against the aggressive and false Zionist regime, which had risen with the full support of arrogance, my brave comrades in the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, during 12 days of powerful battle that brought honor to Iran and Iranians worldwide, stood tall and proud in unparalleled unity and cohesion with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the security guardians in the General Command of the Law Enforcement, and the support of the expert specialists and scientists of the Ministry of Defense, in synergistic actions in defense and offense, under the leadership of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. Their pure blood and wounds testify to the realization of the Army’s slogan: "The Army is devoted to the Nation."

Tehran IRGC Commander Hasan Hasanzadeh stated in a press conference on Thursday, July 26, 2025, regarding the funeral and burial of the martyred commanders: The bodies of more than 50 martyrs will be buried on Saturday. Some commanders will be buried in Behesht Zahra and others, according to their wills, in Imamzadehs.

According to the Tehran IRGC Commander, today (Saturday) a caravan of martyrs from various segments of our country’s people, including children, women, scientists, commanders, and other martyrs will be funeralized. All necessary arrangements for holding this ceremony have been provided by military, police, medical, and service organizations. After the funeral ceremony, the bodies will be buried in some of Tehran’s Imamzadehs, Behesht Zahra (S), and other cities.
