SAEDNEWS: Iranian intelligence agents in the western province of Hamadan have arrested six individuals accused of working with Israel’s Mossad. The announcement, made by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, marks the latest in a string of counterintelligence operations in the country’s ongoing shadow war with Israel.

Iran Breaks Another Spy Ring: Six Alleged Mossad Agents Arrested in Hamadan

According to Saed News, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reported the arrest of six suspected spies allegedly linked to Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad. The detentions, carried out in the cities of Hamadan, Razan, and Nahavand, were described as a pre-emptive strike against what Iranian officials call “a coordinated digital and psychological campaign” aimed at destabilising the state.

Ali Akbar Karimpour, Deputy Head of Public Relations for the IRGC in Hamadan Province, stated that the suspects had been engaged in coordinated online activities, including efforts to sow public discontent, manipulate perceptions, and malign the image of the Islamic Republic. These operations, officials claim, were closely guided by external actors connected to the Israeli government.

Karimpour praised what he called “round-the-clock, selfless efforts” of Iran’s counterintelligence units—referred to colloquially as the “anonymous soldiers of the Hidden Imam”—for thwarting the alleged plot before it could gain traction. He described the arrests as “a severe blow to the infiltration apparatus,” reiterating the IRGC’s vigilance in safeguarding national security.

The timing is not incidental. The arrests come amid heightened regional tensions following an unprecedented escalation of military engagement between Iran and Israel. As military operations spill across borders, cyber and intelligence warfare are intensifying in the background. Both Tehran and Tel Aviv have spent the past decade honing sophisticated offensive and defensive espionage capabilities—this, it seems, is merely the latest chapter.

Officials urged citizens to remain alert and report suspicious activity through designated hotlines, signaling an attempt to enlist the public as auxiliary eyes and ears in an expanding internal security apparatus.
