Saednews: The head of the Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee, in response to the US attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, said that Iran has the legal right to withdraw from the NPT.
According to Saed News, Abbas Golrou, head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, wrote on his personal Twitter page following the United States' attack on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities:
"After the U.S. attack on the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities, and according to Article 10 of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), the Islamic Republic of Iran has the legal right to withdraw from this treaty."
According to Tasnim News, following the attack by the Zionist regime on our country, several representatives demanded Iran’s withdrawal from the NPT. Additionally, an urgent (third-priority) bill for exiting the NPT has been drafted by members of parliament and submitted to the parliamentary system to undergo the legal review process in the Majlis.
