SAEDNEWS: Iran has executed Majid Masibi, convicted of collaborating with Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency, in what officials described as a major counterintelligence success. Authorities say he transmitted classified information and received cryptocurrency in return.

Mossad Spy Executed in Iran After Conviction on Espionage and “Corruption on Earth” Charges

According to Saed News, In a dramatic announcement on Sunday, Iranian authorities confirmed the execution of Majid Masibi, accused of spying for Israel’s Mossad and convicted of moharebeh (waging war against God) and efsad fel-arz (corruption on earth). The sentence was carried out following approval by the Supreme Court, according to Iran's judiciary-affiliated Mizan News Agency.

Masibi, identified as the son of Rajab-Ali, was reportedly in regular communication with a Mossad handler known as “David” based in a Gulf state. Iranian intelligence officials say the convicted spy delivered sensitive information about strategic locations and individuals of interest to Israel’s espionage network, receiving payments in cryptocurrency as compensation.

According to court documents, Masibi had established weekly encrypted communications with his handler and provided detailed reports during these sessions. Iranian officials claim that his arrest was the result of extensive surveillance by the Ministry of Intelligence’s counterespionage division, known as the "anonymous soldiers of Imam al-Zaman."

The Revolutionary Court of Isfahan found the evidence—including Masibi’s confessions and corroborating intelligence reports—sufficient to convict him of espionage and cooperation with a hostile foreign government. After a trial that included legal representation for the defendant, the court sentenced him to death. The ruling was later upheld by Iran’s Supreme Court.

Judiciary sources emphasized that the entire legal process adhered strictly to Iran’s criminal procedure code and that all avenues for appeal were exhausted before the execution.

Iran has long accused Israel of conducting a covert war on Iranian soil, including sabotage of nuclear facilities and assassinations of top scientists. Sunday’s execution underscores Tehran’s resolve to combat foreign intelligence operations aggressively within its borders.

This is the latest in a series of high-profile espionage cases involving alleged Mossad operatives, as Iran intensifies its internal security clampdown amid rising regional tensions and active conflict with Israel.
