Saed News: The Director General of Endowments and Charity Affairs of Mazandaran Province said that the shrines of the province's Imams are ready to accommodate travelers in emergency situations.
According to Saed News, quoting IRNA, Hojjat al-Islam Ebrahim Heidari Janasami announced on Thursday in an interview with reporters the implementation of the national initiative titled "Shrines of the Imams: A Refuge for the People" in Mazandaran, and added:
The doors of Mazandaran’s holy shrines are open to fellow countrymen for supplication, emergency shelter, and national unity.
The official emphasized:
In light of the recent crimes of the Zionist regime against the Iranian nation and the tense regional conditions, the sacred shrines of Mazandaran will once again fulfill their historical and spiritual role as sanctuaries for the people by implementing the national initiative "Shrines of the Imams: A Refuge for the People."
He continued:
In these turbulent days, the sacred shrines and the holy sites of the revered Imams are not only places of prayer and supplication, but also serve as spiritual sanctuaries for the devout Iranian people.
He added:
Today more than ever, we need to connect with the Quran, participate in prayer gatherings, and strengthen our spiritual resolve. For this reason, the holy shrines in Mazandaran have opened their doors with open arms to the people.
The Director General of Endowments and Charity Affairs of Mazandaran Province explained:
As part of this initiative, collective prayers, supplications, pilgrimage programs, Quranic sessions, and cultural preparedness in the face of threats will be held. Additionally, emergency accommodation of fellow citizens will be provided in the buildings of the holy shrines.
Heidari pointed out that emergency accommodation in religious sites is being carried out with the cooperation of Basij Resistance Bases, the police, and local governorates throughout Mazandaran.
He emphasized the cultural and inspirational role of the sacred shrines of the Imams and said:
Alongside the armed forces and resistance fighters, this culture of jihad and supplication will be the stronghold of our nation. Once again, the shrines of the Imams will become bastions of honor and the light of faith.
The Director General also reported the full readiness of shrine trustees and caretakers for implementing this initiative, stating:
The initiative "Shrines of the Imams: A Refuge for the People" has been launched simultaneously across the country, including in Mazandaran. According to the plan, the spaces of the holy shrines will be activated for prayer sessions, group pilgrimages, cultural and awareness-building gatherings, and strengthening youth engagement with the culture of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). In the event of enemy attacks, these shrines will also be used for sheltering people.
Heidari added:
With the implementation of this initiative, the shrines of the Imams will become stronger bastions of peace, unity, and spiritual resistance for the Iranian nation.
Background Context:
In the early hours of Friday, June 13, following a terrorist attack by the Zionist regime on Tehran and several other cities, a number of military commanders, scientists, and civilians were martyred.
In response to this atrocity, the Supreme Leader of the Revolution declared in a televised message on Friday night:
“The armed forces will cripple the vile Zionist regime. God willing, they will act with power, make life bitter for them, and there will be no appeasement.”
That same night, the Islamic Republic of Iran launched Operation "True Promise 3", firing dozens of missiles toward the occupied territories.
Further stages of this operation took place on Saturday, with field reports, satellite imagery, and intercepted intelligence indicating that dozens of missiles hit strategic targets in the occupied zones.
On Sunday afternoon, June 15, the Zionist regime escalated its aggressive strikes, targeting areas in Tehran including Hemmat Highway, Valiasr Square, Niavaran, and Sohrevardi Street.
In response, the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) conducted an unprecedented missile strike in the early hours of Monday, hitting Tel Aviv and Haifa. Legitimate targets included Tel Aviv’s power plant, Haifa’s oil refinery, the Weizmann Institute of Military Research, and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.
Later, on Monday afternoon, the occupying regime attacked a building associated with Iran’s national broadcaster (IRIB), once again violating international norms. The IRGC issued a statement, describing the attack as “a living testament to the enemy’s savagery and rage against the ‘power of narrative’ of the righteous front.” The statement praised the resilience of revolutionary media personnel and reaffirmed the IRGC’s full support for journalists, documentarians, and media warriors exposing the crimes of the Zionist regime and its evil supporters.
The IRGC missile attacks continued into Tuesday morning, despite the Zionist regime’s strict media censorship regarding casualties and destruction. Live broadcasts from Haifa and Tel Aviv by international networks such as CNN and Al Jazeera were cut off.
However, Israeli sources reported that in the final wave of the missile attack, the headquarters of Mossad’s military operations were among the targets hit.
On Tuesday, Iran’s forces also struck the Israeli military intelligence center (AMAN) and the Mossad center for planning assassinations and acts of sabotage in Tel Aviv.
