Saed News: A well-known American host exposed the ignorance and dishonesty of the warmongering senator.
According to Saed News, citing ISNA, prominent American host and journalist Tucker Carlson fiercely criticized hardline Republican and anti-Iranian senator Ted Cruz in a heated interview.
At one point, Carlson asked Cruz, “What’s the population of Iran?” to which Cruz replied, “I don’t know.”
Carlson, visibly surprised, shot back: “You don’t even know the population of the country you want to destroy? Iran has 92 million people.”
He added, “How could you not know something like that?”
Cruz responded evasively: “I don’t memorize the population of countries.”
Carlson retorted: “That’s important information, especially since you’re advocating for regime change in Iran. This shows you know absolutely nothing about Iran.”
Cruz claimed, “I know a lot about Iran.”
Carlson challenged him: “Then tell me, how many ethnic minorities live in Iran?”
Cruz again replied vaguely: “They’re Persians, and most of them are Shiites.”
Carlson responded bluntly: “You don’t know anything about Iran. You’re a senator calling for regime change in a country you know nothing about!”
Cruz then accused Carlson: “You don’t know anything about Iran either. You’re the one claiming Iran isn’t trying to assassinate Trump. You said the killing of General Soleimani wasn’t a good idea.”
In line with U.S. intelligence assessments debunking such claims against Iran, Carlson replied: “You’re the one claiming Iran is trying to assassinate Trump. If you truly believe that, why haven’t you called for military action? You don’t actually believe it.”
Cruz admitted: “We’re attacking Iran today. We’re helping Israel. Israel is leading the attacks. We’re supporting it.”
Carlson pressed further: “The U.S. government claimed it had no role in the attacks. Just last night, the National Security Council spokesperson denied any U.S. involvement.”
Cruz insisted: “I didn’t say we’re bombing Iran. Israel is bombing. We’re supporting it.”
Carlson replied: “Senator, you just admitted the U.S. is attacking Iran. That means the U.S. is at war with Iran.”
Cruz’s ignorance of basic facts about Iran is notable given his reputation for aggressive anti-Iranian stances.
Moreover, his admission of U.S. support in Israel’s military campaign comes despite denials from officials like IAEA chief Rafael Grossi and even U.S. intelligence agencies, which have found no evidence supporting Israeli and American claims that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons.
Cruz’s comments came as U.S. outlet CBS reported on Tuesday that even among Donald Trump’s closest advisors, there is no full consensus on involving the U.S. in Israel’s actions against Iran.
While some American media outlets had suggested that Trump was considering engagement in a Middle East conflict or action against Iran, CBS, citing inside sources, said Trump’s inner circle is divided on the issue.
Last week, the Israeli regime launched an aggressive military attack on Iranian territory. In response, Iran began a large-scale retaliatory operation dubbed “True Promise 3.”
