The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran continued, "The Israelis thought that if they assassinated our commanders or attacked some centers, the Islamic Republic would become so weak that, for example, it would raise its hands in surrender. But they neither know nor have experienced the Iranian nation."
He added, "We fought for eight years and defended heroically, then stood firm against all sanctions and pressures. Therefore, in practice, they became discouraged, our commanders were immediately replaced, and our armed forces demonstrated their readiness."
Araghchi emphasized, "Our enemies must know that militarily they cannot reach a solution and cannot force the Iranian nation by coercion to accept their demands."
