Demonstrators demanded that the prime minister be held accountable, stressing that the illegal Zionist entity is neither “a Trump protectorate nor a banana republic,” in reference to U.S. President Donald Trump’s request last month for a full pardon for Netanyahu.

On Monday, Israeli President Isaac Herzog said that Netanyahu’s pardon request “unsettles many people in this country.”

He added that the issue “will be handled in the most proper and precise way… I will consider only the good of Israeli society.”

Netanyahu faces multiple charges, including bribery, and three counts each of fraud and breach of trust.
