SAEDNEWS: The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces condemned Ecuador’s decision to blacklist the IRGC as a “desperate, unlawful and illogical” move, warning Ecuador against aiding US and Israeli agendas at the expense of international law and regional stability.
In a strong statement on Saturday, Iran’s General Staff of the Armed Forces denounced Ecuador’s recent decree as an “unreasonable and unlawful” act, calling it submission to “the hegemonic system led by terrorism-breeding America and the fake, rootless Zionist regime.”
The statement warned that such moves fuel global wickedness and insecurity, emboldening the Israeli regime in its ongoing genocide against Gaza, Palestine, and other regional nations.
Iran affirmed its unwavering support for the people of Palestine and Lebanon, particularly the defenseless residents of Gaza, pledging to defend their rights against all forms of aggression. The Armed Forces urged Ecuador to respect international and humanitarian law instead of siding with what they termed the “false and satanic front” of the US and Israel.
The decree, signed by Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa on September 16, officially designates Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran’s IRGC as terrorist organizations, citing alleged threats to Ecuador’s sovereignty, public safety, and national integrity.
This decision came shortly after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio visited Ecuador on September 4. The move received praise from Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, who called it a “brave decision.”
Iran’s statement signals strong opposition to foreign interference and support for regional resistance groups, framing Ecuador’s decree as a violation of justice and international norms.
