SAEDNEWS: Media sources indicate that Egypt is readying itself for various potential developments along its border with Israeli-occupied Palestine, preparing for any escalation or contingency in the region.
According to Ma’a News Agency, Egyptian authorities are preparing for various scenarios amid the ongoing war in Gaza, including the possibility of Israeli attempts to displace residents of the Strip or even a potential attack on Egyptian territory.
A senior Egyptian military official confirmed that while Egyptian forces are preparing for these possibilities, they will not fire at any Palestinians. Instead, troops will deploy in key areas within 72 hours, and the military will increase heavy equipment and forces in the Sinai Desert.
The report emphasizes that Egypt aims to deter Israeli actions against Gaza residents by demonstrating military strength and positioning heavy equipment along the border with the occupied Palestinian territories.
Earlier, Hebrew-language sources had also warned of potential clashes between Israel and Egypt, highlighting rising tensions in the region.
