SAEDNEWS: The foreign ministers of Iran and Qatar called for collective action by Muslim nations against the Zionist regime’s crimes.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi met with his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani in Doha on Sunday, on the sidelines of a ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to discuss urgent regional developments.
Araqchi reaffirmed Tehran’s firm condemnation of Israel’s military assault on Qatar and stressed the pressing need for the Islamic world to take effective, united measures to confront the regime’s warmongering, halt the ongoing genocide in Gaza, and hold the leaders of the Israeli regime accountable.
The Qatari foreign minister praised Iran’s principled support for the Qatari people and government, highlighting the importance of intensified efforts by Islamic and Arab nations to aid the oppressed Palestinian population and counter Israel’s expansionist agenda in the region.
The two diplomats also exchanged views on bilateral relations between Iran and Qatar, as well as international issues, including the nuclear question and Iran’s ongoing responsible diplomatic initiatives.
The meeting underscores growing regional collaboration and the push for a unified response from the Islamic world amid escalating tensions in Gaza.
