SAEDNEWS: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said he has traveled to Doha with a message of solidarity, declaring that Iran stands with Qatar and all Muslims against the scourge of Zionist regime that is terrorizing the region.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi declared Iran’s unwavering solidarity with Qatar and the wider Muslim world during his visit to Doha for an emergency Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting.
“I am in Doha with a clear message from the Iranian people: Iran stands with Qatar and indeed all Muslim brothers and sisters, particularly against the scourge that is terrorizing the region,” Araqchi wrote on X on Monday.
The high-level gathering was convened in response to the Israeli regime’s September 9 strike on Hamas leadership in Doha, an attack that sparked widespread condemnation across the Middle East and beyond. Hamas confirmed that five of its members, including the son of senior figure Khalil al-Hayya, were killed, alongside a member of Qatar’s security forces.
On the sidelines of the OIC session, Araqchi held bilateral talks with counterparts from Pakistan, Somalia, Egypt, Iraq, Qatar, and Lebanon, reinforcing calls for regional unity.
The ministerial meeting also served as a prelude to the upcoming Islamic-Arab Summit scheduled for September 15, where leaders are expected to coordinate a collective response to Israel’s escalating aggression.
Araqchi’s remarks highlight Tehran’s effort to position itself at the forefront of regional diplomacy, portraying Israel as the destabilizing “scourge” threatening peace and security across the Middle East.
