Hamas Foils “Largest Assassination Attempt” by Israel, Senior Official Says

A senior Hamas security official has revealed that Israel’s latest strike in Doha was intended to carry out what he described as “the largest foreign assassination attempt in the history of the Zionist regime.” The operation, however, was thwarted by Hamas security forces before achieving its objective.

According to the investigation results, the official confirmed that Israel failed to penetrate the resistance’s security structure, either through human infiltration or technical means. “The operation was foiled without receiving any prior warning or intelligence from outside sources,” he stressed.

The official further underlined that Hamas’s negotiation team and leadership remain in full health and continue to fulfill their responsibilities under tight security measures.

The Israeli regime carried out the strike on September 9, targeting Hamas leadership in the Qatari capital. The attack has since sparked widespread international condemnation.

Hamas confirmed that five of its members, including the son of senior leader Khalil al-Hayya, were killed in the strike. A Qatari security officer also lost his life in the attack.

The failed assassination underscores both the intensity of Israel’s campaign against the Palestinian resistance and the resilience of Hamas’s security apparatus, as the group maintains its leadership despite escalating threats.
