SAEDNEWS: Velayati declared the Shanghai summit as a historic turning point, claiming that Trump’s policies echo Hitler’s, Europe has been humiliated, and that Iran, China, and Russia now form the backbone of a new world order.
According to Saed News; Ali Akbar Velayati, Senior Advisor on International Affairs to Iran’s Supreme Leader, described the recent Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit as “one of the most important meetings in world history”, emphasizing that the organization is destined to play a leading role in shaping the future global order.
Velayati argued that the SCO summit revealed three major outcomes.
First, he said, “the sound of the UN’s bones breaking was heard by the world,” signaling the decline of the institution much like the collapse of the League of Nations.
Second, China demonstrated its status as a potential global superpower, and according to Velayati, it is on the brink of becoming the world’s number one power.
Third, Beijing showed it is quietly silencing Trump’s aggressive footsteps with patience and resolve.
Velayati drew explosive parallels between former U.S. President Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler. He argued that Trump repeated Hitler’s reckless and unilateral tactics, disregarding allies, tearing up treaties, and attempting to dominate rivals through intimidation.
“What Hitler did before World War II is being repeated by Trump today,” he said, pointing to Trump’s unilateral Alaska treaty over Ukraine and his dismissal of European concerns.
According to Velayati, Europe has repeatedly been humiliated under Trump’s leadership, yet failed to resist. Instead, European governments took hostile steps against independent countries such as Iran, including their push for the activation of the UN’s snapback mechanism.
Velayati insisted that Europe’s actions are nothing but a reaction to Trump’s unilateralism, which undermined their influence.
Velayati highlighted the growing strength of the SCO, especially the role of China, Russia, Iran, and India as truly independent nations.
He praised Iran’s position as a resilient power that has already challenged both the U.S. and Israel. Referring to the recent 12-day conflict, he noted that Iran forced both Washington and Tel Aviv to request a ceasefire.
In his view, the Shanghai summit revealed that the center of gravity in world politics is shifting eastward. With Iran, China, and Russia working together, a new era is emerging — one that challenges Western dominance.
Ali Akbar Velayati, senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, revealed explosive details about the shifting balance of power in the Middle East. He emphasized that Yemen, under Abdulmalik al-Houthi’s leadership, has become a decisive pillar of the Resistance Front, capable of challenging even Washington’s military might.
According to Velayati, Yemeni forces struck U.S. and Israeli vessels in the Red Sea, putting the massive aircraft carrier USS Truman under fire. “Trump was forced to raise his hands and ask for a ceasefire with Yemen,” he said, calling it a major blow to America’s threats against China and the Resistance.
Velayati argued that the future world order will look very different from the past. He pointed to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS as powerful blocs—including China, Russia, Iran, India, Brazil, and South Africa—working together to resist U.S. unilateralism. “The era of American hegemony is fading,” he said.
He described how 33 European countries gathered in Paris, with 26 pledging to send forces to Ukraine under a new peace deal. At the same time, Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova lashed out at Trump, urging him to focus on America’s crumbling cities like Detroit and Los Angeles instead of pursuing reckless wars.
Velayati also turned to history, highlighting Quranic references to Dhul-Qarnayn and drawing parallels with Cyrus the Great. He explained how Cyrus liberated Babylon from the Assyrians and protected oppressed peoples—achievements echoed in both Islamic and Jewish traditions. “Iran’s civilization has always stood for justice and unity,” he noted.
Concluding his remarks, Velayati praised Iran’s resilience and leadership. “With national unity, defensive strength, and the wise guidance of Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran will move toward a bright future,” he said, calling for continued cohesion in the face of global challenges.
