SAEDNEWS: Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani says that Iran has not closed the pathway towards talks with the US, blaming Washington for not starting the talks by bringing up controversial issues.
"The path for negotiations with the US is not closed; yet these are the Americans who only pay lip service to talks and do not come to the table," wrote larijani in a post on his X account.
He added that the Americans "wrongfully blame Iran" for not starting the talks.
In the meantime, the SNSC secretary stressed that "WE INDEED PURSUE RATIONAL NEGOTIATIONS. By raising unrealizable issues such as missile restrictions, they set a path that negates any talks."
