SAEDNEWS: The top Iranian diplomat briefed his Pakistani counterpart on the latest developments concerning Iran’s nuclear case, emphasizing Iran's transparent, peaceful, and responsible approach in this regard.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has emphasized that Tehran’s approach to the nuclear issue is transparent, peaceful, and responsible.
Araghchi met Pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar on the sidelines of the extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Monday.
The top Iranian diplomat briefed the Pakistani minister on the latest developments concerning Iran’s nuclear case, emphasizing the Islamic Republic's transparent, peaceful, and responsible approach in this regard.
The two ministers also reviewed the current regional and international developments, focusing particularly on the critical situation in Gaza and the ongoing violations committed by the Israeli regime against the defenseless Palestinian people.
They stressed the urgent need for collective and coordinated action by Islamic countries to halt the aggression, lift the blockade, expedite humanitarian aid delivery, and counter the expansionist activities of the Israeli regime.
Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar, whose country is currently a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, appreciated Iran’s principled nuclear policies, emphasizing the key role of diplomacy in the peaceful resolution of this issue.
Both sides highlighted the deep historical, religious, and cultural commonalities between Tehran and Islamabad, stressing the need to expand bilateral cooperation in various areas, including trade, border development, the economy, and regional security.
Leading a diplomatic delegation, Araghchi arrived in Jeddah on Sunday to participate in the extraordinary OIC meeting. The primary purpose of this gathering was to address the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, coordinate immediate relief efforts, and examine the legal and political implications of the Israeli regime’s plan for permanent occupation of the besieged territory.
