President Pezeshkian Emphasizes Use of Local Experts in National Projects

President Masoud Pezeshkian has stressed the importance of employing local experts and specialists in implementing projects across Iran.

He made the remark on Saturday while speaking in an online ceremony to inaugurate an oil and gas project in Ilam Province, western Iran. The project involves the collection of associated or flare gases from oil fields in south of Ilam.

“Priority should be given to local professionals, Pezeshkian said, stressing that ‘flying managers’ are ineffective and should no longer be employed in project implementation.”

He also called on relevant authorities to take measures aimed at the swift execution of projects in line with the vision set by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Regarding the timeline set for the completion of the projects by the year 2028, Pezeshkian said that a special task force should be established to expedite the work, and that his administration would provide any necessary assistance in this respect.

Pezeshkian referenced a report from Minister of Oil Mohsen Paknejad regarding the annual collection of approximately $700 million worth of flare gas through the implementation of the newly inaugurated project in Ilam, explaining that the initiative would not only prevent the waste of valuable gas but also double revenue generation.

Considering the downstream industries, the president noted that it would significantly contribute to job creation and economic growth, urging engineers and managers to pursue the project with full commitment to mitigate financial losses and environmental issues.
