SAEDNEWS: Sergey Lavrov: Russia Sees No Readiness from Zelensky Regime and European Supporters for Constructive Talks
According to Saed News’ political service, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with TASS, released early Sunday, that Kyiv’s regime is terrorizing civilians through attacks on non-military infrastructure and sabotage.
Commenting on the battlefield developments, Lavrov stated that Kyiv continues to try to change the situation on the front lines, but the Russian military has decisively maintained the initiative.
Lavrov also noted that nearly all European countries, with a few exceptions, have armed and financed Kyiv’s regime. He claimed they believe Russia’s economy will crumble under their sanctions.
Separately, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Saturday that Ukraine is in no rush to end the military conflict through peaceful means. He warned that if Ukraine does not seek a peaceful resolution, Russia will be forced to achieve all the objectives of its “special military operation” by force.
These statements come as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to meet U.S. President Donald Trump in Florida on Sunday to discuss peace with Russia.
Zelensky said Friday that he would address security guarantees and territorial issues during the meeting, expressing hope that “many issues” could be finalized before the New Year.
Several Western leaders on Saturday evening reaffirmed their support for Kyiv, emphasized a united stance ahead of the Trump-Zelensky meeting, and called for a just and lasting peace.
