SAEDNEWS: In a meeting Russian president's aid, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council emphasized on implementing transport projects and corridors between Iran and Russia.
According to SAEDNEWS, Ali-Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, has called for more cooperation on transport projects between Iran and Russia. This statement came during a meeting with Igor Levitin, an aide to the Russian president.
On Monday evening, the two officials discussed the progress of various transport corridors that connect the two countries. Ahmadian shared his satisfaction with how far these projects have come and highlighted the importance of expanding their capacity.
Ahmadian reaffirmed Iran's strong support for these initiatives, emphasizing their significance for both nations.
In addition to this meeting, Abdolnaser Hemmati, the Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, mentioned the importance of the North-South Corridor project during his discussions with Levitin. He noted that the Russian side is committed to making this project a reality, as it promises benefits not only for Iran and Russia but also for other Asian countries, including India and those in the Persian Gulf.
The meetings reflect a commitment to enhancing transport links, which could lead to increased trade and stronger ties between the countries involved.
