Fattir Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • White flour: 300 grams

  • Water: 200 milliliters

  • Salt: 1 teaspoon

  • Liquid oil: 2 tablespoons

  • Aromatic herbs (parsley, cilantro): 1 cup

  • Ground meat (optional): 150 grams

  • Onion: 1 medium

  • Saffron tea: 1 tablespoon

  • Butter: 2 tablespoons

Method:

  1. Preparing the Dough: In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and oil, then gradually add water until a soft and smooth dough is formed. Knead the dough for 15 minutes, then cover it with a clean cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

  2. Cooking the Meat and Vegetables: Finely chop the onion and sauté it in a pan with some oil until soft. Add the ground meat and cook over low heat. Once the meat is cooked, add the aromatic herbs and mix well. Optionally, you can add some saffron tea to enhance the flavor.

  3. Baking the Fattir: After the dough and filling are prepared, divide the dough into small pieces and roll them out thinly using a rolling pin. Place some of the meat mixture inside the dough and fold it into a triangular shape.
