1- Blue Mosque | A Mosque as Old as History The Blue Mosque is one of Tabriz's historical attractions, dating back 600 years. This mosque, considered a beautiful example of Islamic architecture, features prominent turquoise tilework and intricate designs on its entrance, which captivate any tourist. These beautiful turquoise tiles are the reason the mosque is named "Blue Mosque."
Currently, the Blue Mosque is the only remaining historical structure from the reign of the Qara Qoyunlu dynasty, as many were destroyed in an earthquake 300 years ago. Despite the remaining damage from that earthquake, the Blue Mosque is considered one of the most beautiful and attractive sights in Tabriz, as it combines history, art, and religion. The mosque is located on Imam Khomeini Street, Tabriz, near the Saat Square, and is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

2- Grand Bazaar of Tabriz | One of the Largest Covered Markets in the World A visit to Tabriz wouldn’t be complete without walking through this ancient covered market with tall arches and interconnected brick structures. The Grand Bazaar of Tabriz, which spans over a kilometer, is one of the largest covered markets in the world, registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site and the best place to buy souvenirs from Tabriz. The market’s prosperity increased during the Safavid era as it was a central market along the Silk Road. Like the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar of Tabriz was severely damaged by the massive earthquake of 1193 AH, but it was quickly restored and retains its traditional, old appearance.
The Grand Bazaar is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on non-holidays. If you wish to explore all parts of the bazaar and its numerous sections, it is recommended to dedicate a full day for this visit.
3- Maqbarat al-Shu'ara (Tomb of the Poets) | A Place for Mystics and Poets Another must-see attraction in Tabriz is the Maqbarat al-Shu'ara, especially if you're interested in Persian poetry and literature. The site dates back 800 years, but like many other historical landmarks in Tabriz, it was significantly damaged in natural disasters and earthquakes and remained abandoned for years. What you will see today is a more modernized version of this historic cemetery, which was restored in 1971.
Currently, over 400 notable figures of art and literature are buried here, including the famous poet Shahryar. This tourist attraction is located in the Sheshgallan neighborhood of Tabriz and is open daily from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. 4- Jama Mosque of Tabriz | A Blend of Ancient and Modern Architecture Some of Tabriz's historic sites survived the city's earthquakes, and one of them is the Jama Mosque. The architecture of the Qajar Museum, like other old Iranian houses, has a distinctive design and is divided into two sections: the inner and outer parts. During your visit to the museum, you can explore the Stone Hall, the Weapons Hall, the Architecture Hall, the Coin Hall, and other sections of the museum.
12- Clock Tower | Tabriz's first museum
The Clock Tower, located at the central point of Tabriz, is recognized as Tabriz's first museum. This tower was built by German architects in 1935 and became operational in 1939. There is a clock face on each of the four corners of the tower, which chimes the time every 15 minutes for the people of Tabriz. 13- Iron Age Museum | The most unique museum in Tabriz
The Iron Age Museum, discovered in 1997 during excavation operations, is considered the most unique museum in Tabriz. The items found here indicate a historical period dating back to the Ilkhanid and Timurid eras and suggest the presence of mass graves. Most of those buried in the graves were children, and it is interesting to note that they were buried with their belongings. For example, children were buried with toys, women with jewelry, and men with weapons. By examining these items, you can easily determine the social class of these individuals.

Located in a scenic area among the foothills of Sahand, there is a historical cemetery that predates Islam, renowned for the unusual shapes of its graves. According to locals, some mystics and rulers from the 7th to 9th centuries were buried here. It is worth noting that this cemetery has been subjected to repeated invasions and thefts, so only a few of these uniquely shaped graves remain visible today.

1- El Goli Park | One of Tabriz's free attractions
One of the must-see attractions in Tabriz is the beautiful El Goli Park, also known as Shah Goli. This old and scenic park is one of the most popular leisure spots in Tabriz for both tourists and locals, as it provides a peaceful place for strolling and enjoying a pleasant afternoon. Since there is no admission fee to the park, El Goli is considered one of Tabriz's free attractions. The park features a 200x200-meter lake with depths ranging from 3 to 9 meters, and boating is one of its main activities.
The El Goli Mansion, an octagonal two-story building, is now used as a restaurant. Therefore, after exploring this lovely recreational spot, you can enjoy local dishes at the park's restaurant or at one of the nearby restaurants.
