What are Parvaz Park’s attractions?

This park offers several attractions which we review below.

360° panorama

One of Parvaz Park’s standout features is its elevated location. From the park you can see the whole city: Milad Tower on one side and the northern mountains on the other — view quality depends on Tehran’s pollution levels. On a clean, cloudless day you can see very far; on clear nights the city lights create a memorable spectacle as you sit on a bench and watch the urban sea beneath you.

 Parvaz Park

Watching sunrise and sunset

Because the park gives a full 360° view, it’s ideal for both sunrise and sunset. Morning people can arrive before dawn for stair-climbs, brief runs and then enjoy a warm tea or coffee as the sun rises. If early mornings aren’t for you, visit late afternoon to exercise and stay for sunset — sit on west-facing benches to watch the light fade and the city lights come on.

 Parvaz Park

Sporty atmosphere

Beyond stairs, walking and sunrise runs, the park supports other sports. The park’s gentle slopes make it pleasant for skating; bring skates or enjoy watching others. Chess players can use the fixed tables dotted around the park — just bring your pieces. There is also a football pitch visitors can use or join a casual game.

 Parvaz Park

Playground and family fun

A dedicated children’s play area serves ages 2–12 with inflatables, a small train, electric ride-ons and slides. Parents can watch kids play while enjoying the park.

 Parvaz Park

Picnics and gatherings

Parvaz is a popular spot for family picnics. The park has gazebos where you can shelter from sun or rain, or spread a blanket under a tree. Bring light food, a thermos of tea and enjoy communal games like volleyball. There are play areas and an amusement park to keep children entertained.

v

Dining and food options

If you prefer not to bring a picnic, try the on-site restaurants. Flyland is a multi-level restaurant with large glass walls offering night city views; its modern setting is a draw for photographers. Closer to the west entrance the Parviz & Pooneh café-restaurant serves a modest menu and pleasant atmosphere.

 Parvaz Park

Other park features

In summer vendors set up stalls selling snacks and souvenirs. A library at the park’s northern section lends books and magazines, and book fairs sometimes offer discounted titles. The park also hosts a five-dimensional cinema for families and friends seeking a different treat.

When can you visit Parvaz Park Tehran?

Parvaz offers something special at any hour. Visit in spring for mild weather and fresh greenery, in winter for snow (the park sits high so it often holds snow even when other parts of the city are dry), or on misty autumn days and rainy afternoons when you can shelter in the gazebos or Flyland. The park’s vantage point means each season has its own appeal.

 Parvaz Park

Why is it called Parvaz Park?

The park took its name from a nearby street once called Parvaz. That street was later renamed after a war martyr; the park is also known today as Bam Tehran because of its high-elevation location adjacent to the Bam Tehran neighbourhood.

 Parvaz Park

Final word

Whether you prefer sunrise exercise, evening city views, family picnics or active sports, Parvaz Park (Bam Tehran) is a compelling green destination near the city. Add it to your Tehran itinerary for a fresh-air break and wide city panoramas.
