How to Make Amazing Black Plum Compote with 2 Methods!

Black Plum is one of the nutrient-rich summer fruits that, besides its remarkable benefits, has an extraordinary aroma and taste. Making black plum compote is very easy, similar to homemade cherry compote and apple compote.

Ingredients for Black Plum Compote:

  • Black plums: 1 kilogram

  • Sugar: 6 tablespoons

  • Vanilla: half a teaspoon

  • Water: as needed

How to Prepare Black Plum Compote:

  1. Wash the black plums intended for the compote and place them in a glass container.

  2. In a pot, add some water and place it on the heat. Add sugar to your desired sweetness and make a syrup. Just before taking the syrup off the heat, add the vanilla. Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool.

  3. When the syrup has cooled, pour it over the black plums in the jars. Fill up to half a centimeter below the rim of the jar.

  4. Fill a pot larger than the jars with water and place it on the stove. Put the jars inside the pot. The water level should not cover the lids of the jars.

  5. Wait for the water to boil, then reduce the heat. After 5 minutes of boiling, remove the jars and let them cool gradually.

  6. Once cooled, store the jars in the refrigerator and use as needed.
