Greek yogurt | ½ cup |
Mayonnaise | 1 tablespoon |
Garlic | 3 cloves |
Pomegranate paste | 2 tablespoons |
Fresh lemon juice | From 1 lemon |
Pita bread | 4 pieces |
Pickled cucumbers | 8 pieces |
Tomato | 1 medium |
Lettuce | 4 leaves |
Butter | 100 grams |
Salt and black pepper | As needed |
Thyme & paprika | As needed |
Turmeric & oil | As needed |
🔪 Instructions:
Step 1: Slice the onion into thick strips and place it in a mixing bowl. Grate 2 garlic cloves and add them along with oil, lemon juice, Greek yogurt, salt, black pepper, thyme, and paprika.
Step 2: Cut the meat into thin strips and add to the marinade. Mix well to coat evenly.
Step 3: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour to marinate the meat. Then, remove the meat and heat butter in a pan.
Step 4: Remove meat from the marinade and fry in butter. Meanwhile, mix mayonnaise with 3 tablespoons of Greek yogurt. Grate the remaining garlic clove and add it to the sauce.
Step 5: Once the meat is well cooked, lay out the pita bread. Spread pomegranate paste evenly over each bread. Add some cooked meat on top.
Step 6: Pour the prepared sauce over the meat. Chop the tomato, pickles, and lettuce, and add them to each wrap. Finally, roll up the pita like a wrap and serve.
