According to the Science and Technology Desk of Saed News, the Zhengzhou Nissan Alliance has announced that pre-sales for its Frontier Pro plug-in hybrid pickup will begin in the coming days. This new pickup marks a milestone in the “Made in China, for China, to the World” strategy of the Chinese Nissan Alliance, as it is the company’s first truck fully designed, developed, and manufactured in China, now ready for global export.

The Frontier Pro lineup includes both conventional gasoline models and plug-in hybrid variants. Customers can reserve their vehicle with a pre-payment of $28. The official launch is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.

Externally, the plug-in hybrid model features a distinct grille compared to its gasoline counterpart. It comes with continuous daytime running lights and adopts Nissan’s V-Motion family design. The vertical headlight lines of the Frontier Pro stand out prominently, complemented by a three-part central light cluster and a laser-engraved logo.

A two-tone roof and a rear design harmonized with the front lights add to the visual appeal. The vehicle also offers a powered tailgate, cargo box cover, and an intelligent retractable side step system, all working in seamless coordination.

Inside, the Frontier Pro plug-in hybrid takes cues from passenger cars, with a 14.6-inch central control display complemented by physical buttons. Its French-made Focal audio system and expansive panoramic roof enhance the cabin experience. Rear doors open to a 90-degree angle, and the backrest of the rear seat can be adjusted in three positions for added comfort.

On the performance side, the plug-in hybrid powertrain delivers 410 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The vehicle’s towing capacity reaches 3,500 kg, and its fully electric range is 135 km. Additional features include an integrated all-wheel-drive system, Level 2 driver-assist technology, and support for smart 6 kW discharge charging with three selectable discharge modes.
