SAEDNEWS: During the 21st Shanghai Auto Show, Chery unveiled the Tianji Oxide—a vehicle that promises to be bigger and more luxurious than the Exeed VX.
According to the technology section of SaedNews, if you think the VX—or the Extreme VX—is Chery’s most luxurious model, you should know that Chery’s luxury sub-brand, Oxide, is about to launch a new model based on the Tianji concept, which is larger and more luxurious than the VX.
To put it in perspective, the VX has a wheelbase of 2,900 mm, whereas the Tianji concept extends this to 3,200 mm.
On the exterior, Tianji adopts a seamless design, with side doors that open opposite each other, reminiscent of Rolls-Royce models. This concept lacks a B-pillar, and the blacked-out A-pillars make the roof appear suspended like a canopy, giving the car a strikingly modern and sophisticated look. The overall design, along with the sleek, linear headlights, immediately evokes comparisons with Range Rover models—a connection reinforced by Chery’s close collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover.
