A young Iranian inventor has earned international acclaim, winning the gold medal at the Silicon Valley International Invention Festival in the United States for his groundbreaking smart firefighting helmet.

In an interview on Saturday, Amirhossein Kamran Karkaj explained that the helmet is designed with cutting-edge technology to enhance firefighter safety, featuring a heads-up display and an AI-based system to analyze vital signs in real time.

The helmet is equipped with alert sensors, a rearview camera, and artificial intelligence, allowing it to monitor a firefighter’s health and environmental conditions during critical situations. Through a centralized control system, it can pinpoint the exact location of a firefighter, enabling rapid assistance in emergencies.

Kamran Karkaj highlighted that while similar helmets exist in five European countries, including France and Switzerland, those models rely mainly on GPS positioning and lack the AI integration, alert sensors, and rearview camera present in the Iranian design, giving this invention a distinct edge in safety and functionality.

This innovation not only showcases Iran’s technological capabilities but also promises to significantly improve the safety and efficiency of firefighting operations worldwide.
