SAEDNEWS: Asr-e Tarikh’ has released one of the few surviving photographs of Mirza Kuchak Khan Jangali.
According to Saed News’ Social Affairs Desk, Mirza Younes, known as Mirza Kuchak Khan Jangali (1880–1921), was the leader of the Jungle Movement advocating constitutionalism. Following internal disorder after the Constitutional Revolution and foreign interventions in Iran, he rose in revolt and declared a republic in Rasht. However, due to internal disputes within the Rasht government, agreements between Russian and British forces, and the strengthening of the central government, the movement was defeated. Caught in snow and blizzard, Mirza Kuchak Khan succumbed to the cold.
